New Pattern: Athena Cowl

I am really excited to introduce you to Athena;

I have been very privileged to work with Artesano and their gorgeous brand new yarn Artesano Nebula.
The new yarn, made from Alpaca blends with Merino Wool is a double-knit roving yarn with flecks of Donegal adding texture
to create a sophisticated tweed finish.
It is amazing to work with and so soft and snuggly I was reluctant to send the cowl back to Artesano!

Athena comes in two sizes, a short cowl for yanking over your head as you head out the door (60cms / 23.5 inches in length) and the long one pictured for a more luxurious feel (120cms / 47.25 inches in length).
It is beginner friendly with options for knitting flat or in the round.
The pattern is a mix of moss stitch and dropped stitches, with a moss stitched ribbing on either end.

Needles: 4mm needles (US size 6)
Yarn: Artesano Nebula, DK, 270 – 450 yards (247 – 411 m)
Gauge: 20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in st st before blocking

I can’t show the design process of this one since I didn’t have to do a sketch or submission. I have nothing to show you other than the finished cowl but I have to say I love the styling and the finished result in general.

You can download the cowl on Ravelry and you can also see all the other wonderful patterns from the new Nebula range.

I hope you like it!
